Meeting started at 6:30 pm in Room 202 of the Waukee High School

President Ray Scheve started the meeting. The minutes from the November 14, 2005 meeting were approved and will be posted to the WaukeeSoftball.com website.

The confidentiality agreement was passed out to all board members and signed.

The Warrior Annual Classic Tournament on May 19-21, 2006 has been approved by the Iowa ASA. A deadline of April 1, 2006 was approved for team registration. Rochelle Becker handed out a detailed list of items to be done in preparation for the tournament, and at the tournament itself. The following people will head up committees for the tournament:

Director - Rochelle Becker
Grounds Crew - Perry Young
Admissions/Gates Crew - Jen Slauson
Concessions Crew - Jen Slauson
Game Scheduling Crew - Beth Potts & Ed Slauson
Treasurer - Andrea Hoeg
Fundraiser - Lisa Giudici
Waukee Softball Team Organizer - Ray Scheve

Jen Slauson will arrange for help to stuff 300+ envelopes with the tournament flyers. Tara Inghram will email teams about the tournament.

After hearing feedback from the coaches meeting a few weeks earlier, it was decided that teams need to submit their fundraising ideas to Lisa Giudici so she knows what teams are planning and duplicate efforts can be avoided.

The WAC Fee was discussed, and tiered fees by age level were agreed upon. The following fees will cover the WAC Membership Fee, Tournament Fees (# of tournaments depending on age level) and the ASA Insurance/Membership Card.

3rd Grade Teams: $100 per player (3 tournaments)
U10 Teams: $150 per player (4 tournaments)
U12 Teams: $200 per player (5 tournaments)
U14 Team: $250 per player (6 tournaments)

Fundraising can be used to pay for renting facilities for practice, bags, visors, uniforms, lessons, additional tournaments…

Each team should have a banner and 3 sponsors.

The board is planning a day in late January where the players can pay their fees, have a uniform & equipment swap, and try on uniforms and order their size.

Director roles will be discussed at the next meeting.

Procedures will be discussed at the next meeting to handle player/parent & coach conflicts.

Next Meeting: January 4, 2006
