Warrior Athletic Club (WAC) ASA Minutes WAC
Board Meeting This was the Annual Meeting open to all WAC members in good standing.
Three people had submitted their names for consideration as WAC board members to fill open board positions Tim Iversen, Jaynette Rittman and Tonia Zimmerman.
Tim Iversen addressed the board and WAC members in attendance with his background and interest in serving on the board. Jaynette & Tonia were unable to attend this meeting due to prior commitments.
Doug Haag inquired about the 14U team plans for this next season and in the future. Coach Jen Slauson believes that the 14U team this year will be an extension of the high school program, and not a part of the WAC. Any player eligible to play 14U will be able to attend skills clinics and a 14U team will be put together. If some of the players do not make this 14U team, they should still be able to play Jr. High softball. It is expected that there will be enough players next year to field two 14U teams in the WAC program, and the tryouts for 14U will be held at the same time as 10U and 12U.
Perry Young reported that he was able to obtain the equipment and materials needed to work on the WAC field at Waukee Elementary, and with the help of Rob Tennant and Ray Scheve, they worked on the field surface. Additional work will need to be completed in the Spring.
Tara Inghram asked for help with the concession stand at the Scrapbook Fundraising event to be held November 11, 2006. Perry Young & Beth Potts volunteered their teams to help.
