WAC Committee Meeting
March 27, 2006

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Previous meeting minutes approved as written.

Tournament Updates:

Tara Inghram will order wristbands for the tournament.

U10 Level - 8 slots - 1 opening
U12 Level - 16 slots - 1 opening
U8 Level - 4 slots - 2 openings

Jen Slauson's group will be running the gate fee collection sites. There will be one site at the high school field, and two sites at Centennial Park. There may be one more if we want access to the restrooms at Centennial. Prices for gate fees were discussed.

WAC parents will be working at the concession stands. The Booster Club will most likely handle food purchases.

Rochelle Becker has looked at option for trophies and medals, and has found a business offering good deals. Rochelle is working on a T-Shirt order form to mail out to the teams. Retail prices and profit margin from the T-shirts was discussed.

We may need tents for food and grills. Perry Young knew of a source for tents. We are also looking at obtaining the use of coolers, sno-cone machine.

Banners - Price estimate is $113 for a 4'x7' banner with a white background and full color logos.

Team releases and waivers - These two forms should be added to the website. Directors will contact coaches to make sure forms are done and the team book is at every practice and game. The medical releases should be in this book.

Equipment - The equipment has been given out to the coaches. Andrea Hoeg will pay the equipment bills. Lou Bueno will follow up with companies where we are missing items from our order.

Waukee Elementary Field - The batting cage is broken at the Waukee Elementary field. The board will look at options to repair the batting cage. Resurfacing this field was discussed. A sign will be posted at the field to inform everyone of the WAC teams practice schedules, and to check the WaukeeSoftball.com website for updates.
