WAC Board Meeting
March 5, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7pm. All board members were present except Tonia Zimmerman, Lucy Tennant and Beth Potts.

Ray Scheve announced that the Iowa State University softball team invited our WAC teams to come to a game. Ray was given a list of dates to consider.

Tournament Updates – A discussion was held about the maximum number of teams we could have for the WAC tournament. Eight 10U teams, ten 12U teams, and eight 14U teams was decided on. The tournament t-shirt design was approved. Lisa Giudici reported that she has contacted a local photographer for the tournament.

Ray Scheve reported that we have received formal notice from the IRS regarding our Tax Exempt status. It is good through December 31, 2010. Ray will work on the Tax Return which is due April 1, 2007.

Ray reported that the GetWYRD.org meetings will be held at the Waukee Community Center, and that anyone interested can attend. The meeting dates are listed on their website. They welcome the help.

Perry Young reported that the uniform order has been placed.

Perry has started to give out equipment to the coaches. He will be ordering game balls, first aid kits, scorebooks, line up sheets and knee savers soon.

WAC Field expenses were discussed including the possible need for another pitching machine, shed repair, and a used tractor.

The U10 & U12 Directors will handle the team banners. Two levels of sponsors were decided on. The Purple Level will be for sponsors who donate between $100 to $249, and Gold Level sponsors will be for those who donate $250 or more.

Tim Iversen updated the WAC board on the formation of the U14 team.

Tara Inghram reported that she will put flyers in the elementary schools regarding registration for the U8 & U10 developmental teams, and will update the website with information.
