WAC Committee Meeting
April 17, 2006

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Waukee Tournament Updates

Deadline for T-Shirt orders is May 3, 2006.

Rochelle updated the board regarding the Raffle prizes & sponsors – Des Moines Menace, Norwalk Superstars, Sportsplex West, Sport Scoops and a Softball Quilt. The raffle ticket prices were discussed.

It was decided to have 1 umpire per game, with 2 umpires for each championship game.

The game schedule & tournament rules were discussed.

Lisa updated the board regarding her discussions with the boosters and using the concession stand and equipment. Lisa obtained food donations from local businesses, and other sources of inventory for the concession stand were discussed.

Help from the WAC parents is extremely important to the success of the tournament. A team fine was implemented if a parent does not show up for their shift at the tournament.

Perry has notified the Waukee police department of our tournament and additional traffic in the area in addition to the Des Moines Menace Soccer game traffic.

Tara will contact a local Waukee photographer to see if she’s available for the tournament.

Next meeting will be scheduled in about 2 weeks.
