Tryouts

Lucy Tennant & Tara Inghram will co-chair the tryout subcommittee. Outside evaluators are being sought for the tryouts. Possible evaluators were discussed and will be contacted.

Treasurer’s Report

Andrea Hoeg presented a Statement of Fund Status report outlining the WAC revenue and expenses as of 7/31/06.

Equipment Director Report

Lou Bueno suggested an equipment budget be set up for next year. The budget would include funds for a rental facility to house the equipment during the off season, repairs to the WAC storage shed, and miscellaneous items such as game balls, practice balls, knee savers, catcher gloves for the younger players, more comprehensive first aid kits, scorebooks, line-up clipboards, chin straps, 2nd set of catcher’s gear for each spring team…

The possible need for additional pitching machines was discussed. It was agreed that coaches need to turn all equipment back in at the end of the spring competitive season so it can be inventoried and reissued to the fall ball coaches with an inventory form to sign.

It was suggested that parents who have had a player move up from 10U to 12U may want to donate their unneeded 11” balls to the WAC to be used as practice balls by the current 10U teams. Lou Bueno is the contact for this.

Nothing to report.

Communications Director / Secretary Report

Tara Inghram outlined how the upcoming tryouts would be advertised. Beth Potts supplied Tara with a list of all current Fall Ball players so the new players can be added to the WAC database. Tara stated that another Super Scrapbook Saturday fundraising event will be held in November, and requested that concessions be sold at the event to raise additional funds.

Fundraising Director Report

Lisa Giudici stated she would like to reserve as many dances at the Middle School as possible for WAC fundraisers. Lisa needs the board to put together a wish list of items the WAC needs to be able to approach corporate sponsors.

By Laws

Ray Scheve has prepared the By Laws and requested the board review them ASAP and get back to him with changes. He needs to file them soon.
